Medium Partner Program in India October Update: Disappointed
Alas!
The bell of the Medium October update finally rang. On October 24, Buster Benson published the update on The Medium Blog. For writers, the update is loaded with bad news, especially if you’re an Indian writer like me.
The old story
It all started when Buster Benson published the New Partner Program incentives focus on high-quality human writing update. He informed me about Medium’s plan to start the partner program in 12 new countries on August 1, 2023. Including Brazil, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Gibraltar, Hungary, India, Liechtenstein, Malaysia, Malta, Thailand, and the United Arab Emirates.
Writers from these twelve countries were waiting for the big day. Unfortunately, writers from Brazil, Thailand, and India had to wait longer.
On August 1, Tony Stubblebine the CEO of Medium, published the Partner Program Changes Are Rolling Out Now update. He mentioned that the partner program in nine out of twelve countries has been rolled out successfully. But it’s delayed again until October 2, 2023, in Brazil, India, and Thailand.
